Testimonial. Kootenay Launch Club, Nelson, BCBubbly screening is now available which reduces the impact on the environment of marine pile driving.

Size, length and type of marine piling may be specific to the lake where the piling is to be driven and also to site specific factors such as a rocky lake bed. All marine pile driving is conducted at the customer's risk as there is no real way to know what is beneath lakebed floors. If the lake freezes in the winter - steel pilings are generally recommended along with de-icer systems. In the case of Kootenay Lake, or other area lakes which do not freeze, either wood or steel can be used. The cost of steel is higher when compared to wood, but steel is longer lasting and therefore often a better solution. The cost of the marine pile driving service remains constant whether wood or steel is used.

Galvanized steel pole strap systems with rollers are available and usually recommended, especially in the case of summer homes or absentee owners as the dock will rise and fall with the water level.

Graham Marine Pile Driving offers the newest technology in pile driving equipment in North America. In addition to hydraulic hammer service, our pile driving equipment is portable and can access sites via roadways or waterways.
